Dance Instructors: Teresa Dorough, Ciara Gulley and Hannah Zachert

All dance classes are held in Studio A and B  located in the Hartland Educational Support Service Center (former high school on M-59).  Ms. Teresa and Ms. Hannah are returning again this year for another wonderful year of instruction.  We are happy to announce that Ms. Teresa has become our new Dance Director.  We know she’ll do a wonderful job.  We are pleased to announce that Ms. Ciara Gulley will be joining our dance family this year.  We are pleased to offer teachers with lots of teaching experience who love children and dance.

The program is structured so the dancers receive at least 30 weeks of classroom instruction.  The program ends with a Dance Recital scheduled for May 2010.  All classes participate in the recital, with the exception of the Princess classes.  Students in the Princess classes may be asked to be in the recital.  The home school classes will make the decision with their teacher if they want to participate in the recital.  The success of the recital depends on participation in both the Fall and Winter sessions.

There are additional costs for shoes and costumes.  A $30 NON-REFUNDABLE costume deposit is due in November with the balance due on February. Costumes for the recital will be ordered in December. The recital is not mandatory, but your teacher will need to know if you are not going to participate.  Costume prices vary from $40-$70.

Please understand that upon acceptance of your fall registration by Hartland Community Education, that your child is guaranteed a spot in the winter-to-recital session.  The total fee for the class can be paid in full less the 5% discount when registering for the fall session.

Dress Code: Girls-Wear leotard and tights of any color and ALL HAIR must be pulled away from the face (for all levels/classes).  Boys- wear loose fitting clothes and sweatpants.
